Privacy & Student Conduct Policy
At Chindamanee School, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment. To uphold this commitment, we have established clear guidelines regarding student conduct, use of personal devices, and campus access. These policies are designed to protect student privacy, ensure academic integrity, and promote responsible digital citizenship.
1. Mobile Phone and Personal Device Policy
To minimize distractions and support student engagement during instructional time, the following regulations apply to all mobile phones and personal electronic devices:
Daily Device Submission
- All students (Years 7–13) must submit their mobile phones to their homeroom teacher at the start of each school day.
- Phones will be securely stored in labeled containers or lockers and returned at the end of the school day.
- This practice ensures that learning remains the primary focus during school hours and reduces risks associated with unauthorized recording, social media use, or cyberbullying.
Unauthorized Use
- Any student found using a mobile phone or personal device without explicit teacher permission during school hours (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM) will have the device confiscated.
- Confiscated devices will be held in the school office and may only be retrieved by a parent or legal guardian.
- Repeated violations may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the school’s Code of Conduct.
Academic Use of iPads (Years 12–13 Only)
- Students in Years 12 and 13 may use school-approved iPads or tablets for academic purposes only (e.g., research, note-taking, accessing digital textbooks).
- These devices must be used under teacher supervision and in alignment with classroom activities.
- Non-academic use (e.g., gaming, social media, messaging) is strictly prohibited and may result in temporary loss of device privileges.
2. Campus Access and Supervision Policy
Chindamanee School prioritizes student safety through structured supervision and clear campus boundaries.
Campus Hours
The campus is open to students from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
However, all students must vacate academic buildings by 4:30 PM, unless they are:
- Participating in a school-sanctioned, teacher-supervised activity (e.g., clubs, sports, rehearsals, tutoring).
- Officially registered for after-school programs.
Leaving Campus During School Hours
Students may not leave the school premises during instructional hours (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM) without:
- Prior written or digital permission from a parent/guardian, and
- Approval and sign-out by the school office or designated staff member.
- Unauthorized departure from campus is considered a serious breach of school policy and may result in disciplinary consequences.
Lower Secondary Supervision (Years 7–9)
Students in Years 7 to 9 must remain on campus after school hours unless:
- A parent or authorized adult signs them out in person at the main office, or
- They are attending a supervised school activity with prior registration.
This policy ensures the safety and well-being of younger students who may be more vulnerable during unsupervised transitions.
Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy
At Chindamanee School, the safety, dignity, and well-being of every student are our highest priorities. We maintain a robust Safeguarding Policy grounded in our moral responsibility and legal obligations under Thai law, including the Child Protection Act B.E. 2546 (2003), the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) B.E. 2562 (2019), and the Ministry of Education’s Guidelines on Student Welfare and Safety (Sources 4, 5). This policy works in full alignment with our Privacy & Student Conduct Policy to create a secure, respectful, and nurturing educational environment.

- Exploitation or unsafe online interactions
- All staff, volunteers, contractors, and visitors are required to uphold this commitment and complete mandatory safeguarding training upon appointment and annually thereafter.
2. Prevention Through Clear Boundaries and Supervision
Our safeguarding approach is proactive and integrated into daily school operations:
- Supervised campus access: As outlined in our Campus Policy, students (especially Years 7–9) remain under structured supervision during and after school hours to minimize unsupervised exposure to risk.
- Controlled device use: Our Mobile Phone Policy limits unmonitored digital access during school hours, reducing opportunities for online grooming, inappropriate content sharing, or cyberbullying.
- Safe digital environments: When iPads or school devices are used (Years 12–13), they are restricted to academic platforms and monitored in accordance with our Acceptable Use Agreement.
3. Reporting and Response Procedures
- Chindamanee School maintains a clear, confidential, and trauma-informed process for reporting and addressing concerns:
- Any staff member who suspects abuse or harm must immediately report it to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy DSL.
- Students, parents, or third parties may report concerns anonymously via our secure online form, school email (admin@chindamanee.ac.th ), or in person to any trusted adult on campus.
